the change we do NOT seek..
Resolution 1109 is an absolute and concrete example of the government’s underestimation of the masses’ capacity to comprehend to society’s prevailing issues..
the majority faction is actually a desperate move by the Administration to prolong the Arroyo regime, and on the process, prolong the agony of the Filipinos. as ive always said, the provisions of the Con-Ass and Cha-Cha is not bad.. but only after 2010 when a new kind of government has already been established.
for the information of everybody, the majority faction is both unconstitutional and unethical.. the Congress, which is composed of the House of Representatives and the Senate, is bi-cameral in nature. which means that these are actually two separate entities in terms of legislation. the majority faction as proposed by the administration, will merge these 2 chambers of congress and for the resolution to be legislated, majority (50% + 1) of the congressmen AND the senators should vote for it. which will be very easy considering the fact that more than half of the congressmen are allies of the president..
This actually proves the notion that MOST congressmen does not serve their purpose, which is to represent their constituents and not their own interests..
a wake up call for everybody. we must be more critical in choosing our leaders. let us not settle for TRAPOs. because in the end, we will face the consequences of our decisions.
at this point, what we need to change is the political system.. and not the constitution..
